Elizaveta Bracht – Tishchenko

Kyiv born, with dual Russian-Swiss citizenship, Elizaveta has spent the better part of the last two decades living and working in Switzerland.

A former top professional athlete, who made her debut for the Soviet National Team in 1991, Elizaveta competed for Russia in three consecutive Olympic Games between 1996 and 2004), and twice won a silver medal (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004). She represented her country more than 470 times, playing in the starting 6 of the Russian National Team. In this time, she won numerous national and international titles, including four-times gold medal at European Championships, bronze medal at World Championship and multiple winner of prestigious individual awards.

After retiring from the Russian National Team and from professional volleyball in 2004, Elizaveta transitioned into a successful commercial & marketing professional with substantial work experience in the global sport industry. As a strong advocate of career development through education she encourages fellow athletes to follow her own example after ending a life in professional sport.

Upon graduation from the Master in Sports Administration programme at AISTS Lausanne in 2007, Elizaveta initially joined the IOC before moving on to the commercial department of UEFA. In 2009 Elizaveta returned to the world of volleyball and since then works at the International Volleyball Federation, FIVB, in Lausanne. While focusing mainly on commercial projects such as sales and partnership services, she has gained extensive experience in working on various major FIVB events, including the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games as well as several World Championships. She was deeply involved in the strategic changes and the transformation of the FIVB and its major events in the last decade resulting in an effective makeover of the sport of volleyball and its main events.

As part of the FIVB management team, Elizaveta supports the continuous development of the FIVB’s commercial strategy. Being multilingual and having lived in Europe, the Americas and Asia, Elizaveta is highly skilled in managing international relationships which helps driving sponsorship sales and partnership services.
