James Young is Senior Director – Sports Marketing for adidas UK, a role he has held since 2018. In this role James is responsible for leading the brand’s partnership strategy across a wide range of sports. adidas sports marketing assets include Team GB, Manchester United, Arsenal, Harlequins RFC, Leinster RFC, adidas City Runs and a broad roster of individual players and athletes.
Prior to joining adidas, James worked as Head of Partnerships for Lucozade Sport for 6 years where he managed partnerships and created content with the likes of the Premier League, the FA, London Marathon as well as brand ambassadors such as Anthony Joshua and Harry Kane.
Before this James worked in a range of sponsorship and marketing roles at British Airways, O2 and Sony Ericsson, where he was involved with projects including Rugby World Cup 2003, the London 2012 bid and The O2 music venue.
He is married with two sons.
