Marc Davies

Marc is a brand, sponsorship and sports marketing executive with extensive experience leading global sponsorships across traditional and digital channels. Currently Senior Sponsorship Manager for Standard Chartered, he has managed the Banks’ marquee sponsorship of Liverpool FC (LFC) for nine years, overseeing rights activation across 40 markets to drive brand awareness and preference, deliver tangible results for the customer businesses, and support employee engagement and sustainability initiatives. Highlights include negotiating the renewal and rights of the LFC front of shirt sponsorship and connecting the Clubs’ sustainability strategy with Standard Chartered’s commitments to the SDGs. In addition to football, Marc has managed Standard Chartered’s marathons portfolio, including 11 races spanning four continents. He also has a deep understanding of brand management and communications, having rolled out the Bank’s refreshed brand in 2021 and he is currently involved in developing the Banks first sonic logo. Previous experience includes business communications and finance roles at the Bank, and prior to Standard Chartered Marc worked as a researcher at Sports Marketing Surveys (now Nielsen).
