Sarah Lewis, Secretary General at The International Ski Federation to Speak At The International Sports Convention 2020

The International Sports Convention (ISC) is pleased to announce Sarah Lewis OBE as a speaker for the 2020 edition taking place on June 17-18, 2020 at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London. Sarah is Secretary General at The International Ski Federation.

Nigel Fletcher, CEO of the International Sports Convention: “We realize ISC is in eight months but we have a real focus in bringing in worldwide leaders and experts across the Sports Business Industry. ISC will have over 100 confirmed speakers come to the end of this year and much has been unveiled on the ISC website. I am delighted to welcome Sarah.  Sports Integrity is at the epicenter of Sport and Sarah will be on a high-level panel discussion with other International Sports Organisations and International Sports Federations discussing and debating the key issues, challenges and opportunities Sport will face in 2020 and beyond“.

Sarah has been involved with skiing on both a competitive and administrative level for over 30 years. She was a member of the British Alpine Ski Team from 1982-1988 and competed in the 1987 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and 1988 Olympic Winter Games, as well as many international FIS competitions including World Cup and Continental Cups.

Sarah began working for FIS in 1994 and for four years served as Co-ordinator for the Continental Cups covering the series in Europe, North America, Far East, South America, and Australia New Zealand. She became FIS Director in 1998, before being appointed Secretary-General by the FIS Council at its meeting in Melbourne in 2000.

She currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF) and is a member of the IOC Olympic Programme Commission, Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games IOC Coordination Commissions. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing (CHN) she chaired the World Anti-Doping Agency Independent Observers.

Sarah was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to the sport by Her Majesty The Queen in the New Year Honours List for 2018.

The focus of ISC London 2020 is on the Business of Sport with around 1500 participants, including approximately 150 speakers with 7 sports business conferences, 3 masterclasses running over the 2 days, plus private roundtables and a range of hospitality and networking platforms. The main days are June 17-18, 2020. This includes comprehensive content and speakers from the Broadcast, Digital, OTT, Brands, Sponsorship, Integrity, Major events, and Technology. There will be 5 main stages each day.

The International Sports Convention has been hosted in Geneva and Amsterdam for the last 10 years and will move to London for the first time with an exciting sports business concept for the entire global industry. The venue is the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
