Ahmed is an experienced and multilingual football governance expert specialized in supporting Member Associations, strengthening compliance frameworks, and enhancing governance standards across international football. His expertise spans crisis management, regulatory advisory, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project delivery, with a strong focus on developing sustainable football structures worldwide.
Ahmed has been working with FIFA since 2022, leading governance related services for FIFA Member Associations, providing guidance on statutory frameworks, regulatory compliance, and crisis prevention and management. He currently serves as FIFA Team Lead MA Governance Services, overseeing governance support initiatives and contributing to the development and implementation of governance best practices across the global football ecosystem.
Prior to joining FIFA, Ahmed held senior management roles across international football, including Head of Club Licensing at CAF. During this time, he led regulatory and licensing initiatives, supported major football competitions, events and development projects, contributed to stadia and infrastructure regulatory frameworks, and worked closely with Member Associations and key stakeholders across multiple confederations.
