Su is an experienced senior manager, leader, consultant and board member with a demonstrated history of working in the sports industry across a wide range of services private and public.
Skilled in, Strategic and project management, event management and policy strategy implementation, Su has extensive experience in the sports and leisure sector managing numerous facilities, open space, parks countryside projects and sports clubs, both directly and under contract.
Su also has strong and successful background in both the voluntary/charities sector being a founder of the national charity StreetGames and as a Trustee with Newcastle Eagles. She is passionate about making a difference and has spent most of her career supporting projects and communities who are less advantaged than others. This included working in reservation for government, helping renewal projects in Derby, Liverpool, Leicester and Hartlepool develop regeneration opportunities for key communities
Su’s employment has been primarily across the Public Sector currently managing a comprehensive portfolio in Newcastle including – leisure sector, Parks, open spaces, sports clubs and leisure centres.
She is a strong professional with an MBA focused in Operational Business, Management and Marketing, from Northumbria University as well as over 30 years management experience.
Su is passionate about developing opportunities for women and has supported the development of women’s sport throughout her career, currently focussing on developing the broadest access to football for women and girls.
