Simon Gresswell is the Founder & MD of SGLP, an independent Sports Licensing Consultancy & New Business Brokerage, which he re-opened in 2019.
As Vice President, EMEA & International, IMG Worldwide Licensing and COO, EMEA, India & Aus/NZ of Sanrio, he was responsible for client acquisitions and new business development across the EMEA region.
Simon has 30 years experience across all aspects of the Licensing, Merchandising & Retail business, also previously as European Senior Licensing Director, Promotions for Universal Studios and 4 years as Licensing & Marketing Manager for TCC Global (the world’s leading provider of reward-based retail loyalty programs), boosting their Special Projects business significantly via a 5 year strategy which included extensive IP rights acquisition in football and initiating a ground-breaking agreement in the sector, with Disney.
His experience includes mostly recently, work with Rugby League World Cup 2021, IPL, Six Nations, Volleyball World, Tour de France, AFC, FEI and previously with Wimbledon, The Open Championship, MLB, UEFA, Royal Ascot, The Premier League, FA, FFF, DFB, FIGC, KNVB and the MoD (Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army, Royal Air Force)
He also has diverse Character, Entertainment and Lifestyle brands experience from representing brands such as Mr Men, Star Wars and Volkswagen and works pro bono for ‘Products of Change’ as Sports Ambassador and The Bob Willis Fund Ltd, as a Co-Founder/Director.
