Nick is the CEO of London Marathon Group having previously been CEO of its events business since July 1995. As well as organising the iconic London Marathon, the company is involved in staging of over 60 mass participation events annually in the UK and abroad.
The London Marathon is the world’s most successful Marathon receiving over 1.1 million applications to run the 2026 event with the 2025 event alone raising £87.3m for charities.
He was a founder of World Marathon Majors.
A qualified solicitor, Nick also continues to act as consultant at DLA Piper and he has represented a number of leading sports events and organisations including The Wimbledon Championships and UEFA.
Nick is currently a director of the Major Event Organisers Association, a trustee of the Wimbledon Foundation and a Member of World Athletics Development Commission.
He was the longest ever serving Chair of Sport England and Board member of UK Sport and was previously Chair of the Sports Rights Owners Coalition.
