Group Captain Jules Merrison has 25 years of Armed Forces experience, serving in the Royal Air Force Medical Services. She has specialised in medical planning, operations and aeromedical evacuation, completing operational tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, working for NATO in Belgium, and completing a wonderfully sunny 2-year tour in Cyprus. In 2024, Jules was seconded to the Executive Team of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027. Jules is the Director of Impact and oversees, Sustainability, Accessibility, Social Impact, Culture and Arts, and Research. Whilst clearly not an expert in all these areas, Jules is working closely with excellent consultants and embracing entirely, this most excellent career pivot.
