EDI in Football Panel Lineup

We are pleased to announce the following EDI in football panel lineup for this year’s International Sports Convention taking place March 22-23.

The panel will include:

Robert Pearce – Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Southampton Football Club.
Robert has been working for Southampton FC since 2015, initially working for the club’s charity, Saints Foundation, developing and delivering projects that support underrepresented groups to engage in a range of activities.

He has been working in his position as Diversity and Inclusion Manager since August 2021, and he has gone on to reignite the club strategy and direction through a data lead and people first approach.

Jason WebberSenior Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Integrity Manager at Football Association of Wales.
Jason has been integral in advancing the FAW’s EDI and Integrity programmes towards being a global leader in sport and has extensive experience in educating and advising a wide range of stakeholders for more than a decade.

Jason is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with others.

Jamie Dapaah – Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Fulham Football Club.
Jamie joined Fulham FC in May 2020, transitioning from a coaching background. This by requesting to speak with someone at the club about how he could help to support the campaign against discrimination, racism, and prejudice.

He has been instrumental in leading club initiatives and championing the on-going culture of equality and inclusion across all business operations ever since.

Simone Pound – Director at Professional Footballers’ Association.
Simone joined the PFA in 2000 to support the first women’s professional team and has supported the professionalisation of the women’s game ever since.

She is an ambassador for Show Racism the Red Card, sits on the Kick It Out Board as a Trustee, an advisor to the PCA and ECB Diversity Working Group and one of Nelson Mandela’s Women of the World.

Arun Kang – Chief Executive of Sporting Equals.
Arun has worked in the field for over twenty years and completed a masters degree in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion. His specialism cuts across key themes of race equality, community engagement and campaigning.

He is the founder of the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards that have become one of the key networking events in the sport sector. He also created the first-ever leadership programme to diversify the boardrooms of sport through the LeaderBoard Academy.
