About Tennis For All Uganda:
We believe sport and education are fundamental parts of any child’s development. Sport encourages children to be active and healthy. It instils ideals of teamwork, cooperation, leadership and discipline and brings enjoyment and happiness that can change a child’s life forever.
We aim to use the sport of tennis as a platform to develop skills, education, and mentorship that will impact kids’ lives.

Programmes include:
Poverty adversely affects the quality and quantity of education in the slums. Seven out of ten youth in slums drop out of school after Primary school due to Lack of school fees, career guidance or simply a parent’s unwillingness to enrol their children in higher level education. TFA runs a number of support programs as a way of help keeping these children in school
TFA offers regular free tennis training, hosts tournaments and camps welcoming hundreds of children from the slums. Through this program, kids enjoy games of tennis at our main training center in Kampala and Mpigi.
Instead of the children hanging out in the slums and engaging in illegal activities. They hit forehands and backhands while yelling “nice shot” from across the net; they pride themselves on well-stroked balls; they shake hands cordially at the end of a match. Rather than trophies, we would prefer that our results produce happy, well adjusted & good people.
The youth are a critical force in the development of any society. Our programs are aimed at empowering the youth to take charge of their own destinies and to become the forces of social change. They are introduced to activities that help them gain self-esteem, believe in themselves, and gain analytical and decision-making skills and general life skills.
