Keith Pelley, European Tour Chief Executive among ISC 2020 speakers

The International Sports Convention (ISC) is pleased to announce Keith Pelley as a speaker for the 2020 edition taking place on June 17-18, 2020 at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London. Keith is Chief Executive, European Tour.

Nigel Fletcher, CEO of the International Sports Convention: “We realize ISC is in nine months but we have a real focus in bringing in the best minds, concepts, and innovations across the Sports Business Industry. ISC will have close to 150 confirmed speakers come to the end of this year and much has been unveiled only yesterday on the ISC website. We have a significant focus of having the brightest people and innovative organizations at ISC London 2020 and with Keith and The European Tour, we have this in abundance. I am delighted to welcome Keith“.

Recently The European Tour had launched a creative new brand strategy, with the aim of broadening the Tour’s appeal to new and existing fans and commercial partners.

Golf’s global tour new identity includes a modern, fresh logo alongside a new website and App, all underpinned by the Tour’s guiding principles of Innovation, Inclusivity, and Globality.

The brand refresh focuses on ‘Driving Golf Further’, the strapline which features underneath the new logo, as the Tour seeks to build on its strong, established reputation for award-winning content, innovative tournament formats, and immersive technology.

Designed to stand out from the rest of the busy golfing category whilst retaining its golf context, the bold, simple aesthetic is modern and flexible, suitable to be used across all platforms. It comprises a suite of assets, with a new logo, avatar and a range of graphic devices.

Speaking back in September – Keith Pelley, Chief Executive of the European Tour, said: “It is an exciting time for us to unveil our new brand strategy. While we continue to celebrate our traditions and our core audience, the Tour has a strong desire to innovate and broaden the appeal of our sport“.

Keith has enjoyed an extensive and highly successful career in the world of sport and media.  He was previously President of Rogers Media, a media conglomerate in Canada, with responsibility for all lines of the media business, including 51 radio stations, 56 publications, 12 national TV stations plus 42 local stations, 300 digital properties as well as the Toronto Blue Jays, Canada’s only Major League Baseball team.

While at Rogers, Keith helped orchestrate the largest sports rights deal in Canadian history, the first of its kind worldwide, with the acquisition of a $5.2 billion National Hockey League rights deal for 12 years to include all media platforms.

Before this, Keith was President of Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium where he created and led the media consortium for all broadcast rights holders for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, with responsibility for all production, programming, marketing, sales and sponsorship in the run-up to and during the Games. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts, during which the team won the championship title in his first year of leadership.

Keith has a deep understanding of the professional athlete, having worked with them for over 30 years across several major sports including the National Football League, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball and the Canadian Football League.
