Russell Stopford, Chief Digital Officer at Paris Saint Germain – to speak at the International Sports Convention 2020

The International Sports Convention (ISC) is pleased to announce Russell Stopford as a speaker at the ISC 2020 edition taking place on June 17-18, 2020 in London. Russell is Chief Digital Officer at Paris Saint Germain.

Russell leads the development and strategy across all digital platforms for Paris Saint Germain with the aim of enhancing and increasing content for a global audience. This includes social media and platforms such as mobile, web, apps, games, e-commerce, VR/AR and messaging.

Prior to that Russell was Director of Digital at FC Barcelona and before that was at PERFORM as Product Development Director, responsible for the group’s digital consumer products including Goal, the world’s largest football site.

From 2011-14 he was Head of Digital at Manchester City Football Club leading its digital products and services across web, mobile, TV, film, video, and social media. This included digital product development, driving channel growth (City TV, mcfc.co.uk, the City apps, and the club’s various profiles and accounts across a range of social channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Sina, QQ, etc) to local and global audiences.

Before working in football Russell was non-executive Chairman of Glow Labs (a digital media agency specializing in web, apps, social networks, video, and CRM), Chief Creative and Technology Officer of Met Film and before that the Creative Director of Magic Lantern (multi-award-winning converged media production company).

The focus of ISC London 2020 is on the Business of Sport with around 1500 participants, including approximately 150 speakers with 7 sports business conferences, 3 masterclasses running over the 2 days, plus private roundtables and a range of hospitality and networking platforms. The main days are June 17-18, 2020. This includes comprehensive content and speakers from the Broadcast, Digital, OTT, Brands, Sponsorship, Integrity, Major events, and Technology. There will be 5 main stages each day.

The International Sports Convention has been hosted in Geneva and Amsterdam for the last 10 years and will move to London for the first time with an exciting sports business concept for the entire global industry. The venue is the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
