Giles Stanford

Giles has been involved in numerous world-class events providing a turn-key understanding of them from conception through to implementation. His experience covers a wide range of requirements from operations to the delivery of the temporary event facilities, full branding programmes, city centre dressing and activations. Having worked on numerous “mega-events” his primary focus has been to deliver practical simple solutions: “brilliant basics and magic moments”. Maximize the visitor experience and to ensure the event is visually spectacular, operationally fluid and memorable for all stakeholders. 

He has just finished the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the project director for the  Look, Wayfinding and Signage, prior to this he has had the same role for numerous world class multi-sport events: London 2012, Commonwealth Games, (Birmingham 2022 and  Glasgow 2014), City Dressing for Qatar 2022, European Games in Baku 2015 and the Rugby World Cup in 2015. This role is deeply connected with how the venue operates, the principal focus is to deliver a fully functioning facility, transforming the strategic objectives into operational solutions. He provided extensive consultancy services for the Rugby World Cup 2019, Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, Rio 2016 Olympic Games and PyeongChang 2018. Other projects as the lead include the Pan Am Games in Lima 2019 and the 2020 Youth Winter Olympics in Lausanne.
