Matthijs Withagen

Matthijs Withagen is a Dutch national and ISDE International Sports Law graduate. Matthijs started his career at UEFA’s Legal department as a Players’ Status Lawyer and subsequently transferred to FIFA’s Players’ Status Department, focusing mainly on transfer and employment disputes as well as regulatory matters at both institutions. In 2021, Matthijs embarked on a journey at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, where he now holds the position of Acting Director of Legal and Governance Affairs.
