Sported Founder – Sir Keith Mills confirmed as a speaker at the ISC 2020

The International Sports Convention (ISC) is pleased to announce Sir Keith Mills as a speaker for the 2020 edition taking place on June 17-18, 2020 at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London. This follows the recent announcement of Sported as the charity partner to The International Sports Convention.

In 2005, when Sir Keith Mills, as International President and CEO of London 2012, and Lord Seb Coe took their team to Singapore to bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, they made a number of promises.

The most ambitious of these promises was that if successful, they would use the Games to ‘Inspire a Generation’.

Sported was founded in 2008 by Sir Keith Mills as his personal commitment to deliver on this important promise and to ensure a fitting legacy was left in the UK.

His ambition was to not only inspire a generation to play sports but to use sport as a way of inspiring disadvantaged young people to overcome their personal hurdles and fulfill their potential in life.

Nigel Fletcher, CEO of the International Sports Convention: “I am delighted to welcome Sir Keith Mills as a speaker to the International Sports Convention. Sir Keith Mills’ experience in business and sport is extremely impressive. Sir Keith together with Sported Brand partners will give an in-depth insight into Brand partnerships in community Sport in a panel discussion on day 2, June 18th. I cannot wait, it will certainly be a highlight of ISC London 2020 and will emphasize how Brands are investing in Sport in communities and at the grassroots level throughout the UK with diversity and inclusion central to the overall objectives of Sported and their Brand partners”.

Sir Keith Mills: As Sported’s Founder I’m passionate about the power of sport to create positive change in the lives of young people from all backgrounds. I look forward to joining the International Sports Convention next June to share how supporting grassroots sport can create commercial as well as social benefits“.

The focus of ISC London 2020 is on the Business of Sport with around 1500 participants, including over 100 speakers with 7 sports business conferences, 3 masterclasses running over the 2 days, plus private roundtables and a range of hospitality and networking platforms.
