WTA President – Micky Lawler to speak at the International Sports Convention 2020

The International Sports Convention (ISC) is pleased to announce Micky Lawler – President of the WTA, as speaker at the ISC 2020 edition taking place on June 17-18, 2020, in London at the new world-class sports and entertainment destination of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

ISC 2020 will have close to 150 confirmed speakers come end of this year. We have a significant focus of having the brightest people and innovative organisations at ISC 2020 and with Micky and the WTA we have this in abundance. I am delighted to welcome Micky Lawler – WTA President as a speaker for the International Sports Convention.

Micky is continuing to lead women’s tennis to even greater success through continued international growth, enhancement of the fan experience across multimedia channels and in-stadium, and the development of new products and assets to support the business of women’s tennis.

Born in Holland, Lawler earned a BA in Political Science from the American University of Paris and Masters in Applied Linguistics from the University of Delaware. She was named a “Game Changer: Women in Sports Business” by the Sports Business Journal in 2012, recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of their “Women Who Mean Business” honorees in 2009 and recipient of the Warsaw-Thurston Award by the University of Oregon College of Business in 2012. Having lived in nine different countries across South America, Central America, Europe, Africa and the United States, Lawler is fluent in Dutch, Spanish, French, German and English. She is the mother of three children, Charlotte, Trevor and Juliette.

The focus of ISC London 2020 is on the Business of Sport with around 1500 participants, including approximately 150 speakers with 7 sports business conferences, 3 masterclasses running over 2 days, as well as private roundtables and a range of hospitality and networking platforms. The event features comprehensive content and speakers from the Broadcast, Digital, OTT, Brands, Sponsorship, Integrity, Major Events and Technology. There will be 5 main stages each day.
